Tell us about your home

One short call, then a flat quote in writing.

No pressure, no obligation. We call within about 5 minutes, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

What happens after you send this form

Four steps, and none of them involve somebody sitting in your kitchen for three hours. The whole point of publishing the price is that there is nothing left to negotiate in person.

  1. 1
We read it and call you

Inside office hours that is about five minutes, not a day. The team is on the phones Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and does not call on Sundays.

  2. 2
A 15-minute call, from your couch

We go through the published water figures for your utility, what would actually help, and what would not. There is no in-home appointment and no equipment in the back of a van.

  3. 3
    A written flat quote

One number for the whole job, in writing. Not a good, better, best board that starts at a price nobody pays.

  4. 4
    An install date

Usually within a few days. We confirm a one-hour arrival window the day before.

What we need to know about your home

The form above only asks for enough to call you back. These are the five things that come up on the call, and each one changes the answer. Worth knowing before the phone rings, though none of them need looking up in advance.

City water or a well
This is the one answer that changes the equipment. Well water brings iron and sulfur into the picture, which a city-water system is not built to handle.
How many bathrooms
Fixture count is how the system gets sized. Undersize it and you run out of soft water mid-shower.
Where the main line comes in
Garage, basement or utility closet is a free installation. Anything that needs trenching, buried line or an attic tie-in gets an exact add-on price before any work starts.
What is already installed
An existing softener, a whole-house filter, a sink RO unit. Sometimes the answer is to reprogram what you have rather than replace it.
What you are actually noticing
Spots on glassware, crust at the faucet aerators, a smell, a taste, dry skin, scale inside the kettle. The symptom points at the fix.

What install day looks like

We confirm a one-hour arrival window the day before, so you are not holding an afternoon open on the chance somebody turns up.

A city-water install runs 1 to 3 hours. A well system runs 2 to 4, because there is more equipment going in and iron and sulfur have to be dealt with ahead of the softener.

The crew shuts the water off at the main, ties in where the line enters the house, sets the softener and the filter, and runs the reverse osmosis line to the kitchen. Then the valve gets programmed to the hardness figure your utility actually publishes, which is the step that decides how much salt you buy for the next ten years.

Before anyone leaves, you get a walkthrough: where the bypass is, how to add salt, what the display is telling you, and what to call about.

Questions about booking and install day

How soon will someone contact me?
About five minutes, if you send it while the team is on the phones. That is Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm on Ohio time. Outside those hours you are first up when the phones come back on, and since nobody calls on Sunday, a Sunday request is answered first thing Monday.
Do I have to sit through an in-home sales appointment?
No. It is a 15-minute call and a written quote. We do not send anyone to your kitchen table to price the job in front of you.
What does the crew need access to on the day?
The point where the main water line enters the house, a drain within reach of it, and a standard outlet. That is usually the garage, the basement or a utility closet.
Will the softener be set for my city's water?
Yes. It gets programmed to the hardness figure your utility publishes, not to a default number out of the box. That matters locally, because Greater Cincinnati Water Works runs 7.4 grains per gallon at its Miller plant and 8.2 at Bolton, while Greene County and Harrison both dropped to 8 after building reverse osmosis plants. A valve still set for the old number regenerates far more often than it needs to.
What happens if my house needs extra plumbing?
You see the exact add-on price before any work begins. Nobody starts a job and finds the number afterwards.

Where we install

Greater Cincinnati and up into Dayton, across twelve counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Each county page lists the towns inside it and the hardness figure the local utility publishes, so you can check your own number before you call anybody.
